What I Do
Speak
Experienced keynote speaker, panelist, guest lecturer, facilitator, and judge in a variety of entrepreneurship related contexts. I always try to incorporate candor and humor to entertain and provide value to my audiences that range from students, to early innovators, to experienced entrepreneurs, and other innovation ecosystem leaders.
Write
For fun, I write children’s books specializing in local and historical fiction. I am the founder of Rose Apple Press, a mission-driven small press for these books. Professionally, I occasionally guest write articles on innovation and entrepreneurship with an emphasis on social enterprise.
Cultivate & Catalyze
Designs and executes strategic innovation and entrepreneurship programs that nurture early-stage ventures, foster cross-sector collaboration, and scale inclusive, impact-driven ecosystems. The goal is to make it easier and faster to commercialize solutions that solve societal challenges. Also serves as board member and adviser to other organizations that support entrepreneurs.
My Why
I am a wife and Mom to a toddler and two rescue dogs. My personal mission – my why – is to cultivate creativity and innovation that empowers communities and strengthens my bond with my family – ensuring my work reflects both impact and love.
I do this through the programs I design and execute, and by creating opportunities to listen and co-create, continuing to practice creativity myself through writing and music, and highlighting and celebrating other creatives and social entrepreneurs.
Like the best social entrepreneurs, my KPIs extend beyond the easy to measure into the qualitative ways my work fosters belonging and joy in my family and my community. As a leader and person, authenticity and mentorship are core values. I hope to not only help provide the skills, but also a relentless belief in themselves.
